1 RJ45-POE-PD Interface overview
POE (Power over Ethernet) refers to providing DC power to IP-based devices (such as IP phones, wireless LAN access points (APs), network cameras, etc.) while transmitting data signals through the existing Ethernet Cat.5. POE is also known as Power over LAN (POL) or Active Ethernet. Sometimes it's just called Power over Ethernet. This is the latest standard specification that allows data and power to be transmitted over existing standard Ethernet cables while maintaining compatibility with existing Ethernet systems and users.
