M1 DO-214AC(SMA) SMD Package Rectifier Diode

The M1 rectifier diode belongs to the surface mount (SMD) rectifier diode series. It is widely used in electronic circuits for its compact size and reliable performance. This diode adopts DO-214AC package, which is very suitable for modern electronic equipment with limited space.

Basic Parameters

  • Maximum reverse withstand voltage (VRRM): 50V
  • Average rectifier current (IO): 1A
  • Maximum forward voltage drop (VF): About 1.1V (@1A)
  • Reverse recovery time (trr): Usually a standard rectifier diode (not a fast recovery type), about 2-5µs
  • Package: SMA/DO-214AC

  • Reverse voltage protection: prevents reverse power connection from damaging sensitive circuits

Practical Application Suggestions

  • Confirm the voltage tolerance
    For example, when the input voltage is 24V AC, the peak voltage after rectification is close to 34V, so 50V voltage tolerance is sufficient, but do not choose too close.
  • Reasonable heat dissipation design
    Although the 1A current is not large, if the continuous high current is rectified, the heat dissipation capacity limitation of the SMA package should be considered, and the copper foil area should be increased to help heat dissipation if necessary.
  • Prevent reverse breakdown
    A reverse voltage exceeding 50V is likely to cause damage to the diode, and a margin should be left in the design stage
