P4SMA16A is a TVS diode, mainly used to protect electronic circuits from transient voltage shocks such as lightning strikes, electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electromagnetic interference (EMI). It is widely used in communication equipment, power systems, automotive electronics and industrial control fields.

Working Principle
The P4SMA TVS diode is in a high-resistance state under normal operating voltage and does not affect the normal operation of the circuit. When the external voltage suddenly increases and exceeds its breakdown voltage, the TVS diode will quickly turn on, limiting the overvoltage within its clamping voltage range and guiding the excess current to the ground, thereby protecting the downstream circuit components from damage.
