Overview
The diode is a two-terminal device consisting of two types of semiconductor materials (usually silicon or germanium) with a PN junction or substitution junction.According to structure and application, it can be divided into the following types:
Rectifier diode: It Mainly used for rectifying AC power and converting it into DC power. Common applications include power adapters, power conversion, etc.
Zener diode: It is used for voltage stabilization, especially when the voltage is too high, it can maintain a stable voltage value through reverse breakdown. Commonly used in power supply voltage stabilization circuits.
Fast recovery diode: It has a short reverse recovery time and are often used in high-frequency switching power supplies and power electronic equipment. They can quickly switch from the on state to the off state, reducing switching losses and electromagnetic interference (EMI).
TVS diode:It is a diode specially designed to protect electronic equipment from voltage transients (such as surge voltage, lightning strikes, electrostatic discharge, etc.)
Varactor diode: Its capacitance value changes with the change of reverse bias voltage, and it is mainly used in tuning circuits, frequency synthesis and other fields.
High-frequency diode:It is a diode specially designed to work under high frequency signal conditions.
Schottky diode：It has a very low forward voltage drop (typically 0.2V to 0.4V) and fast switching speeds, making them suitable for high-frequency applications.
