The SM712 is a TVS diode array designed for multi-point data transmission standard applications such as RS-485. It is designed to protect electronic equipment from damage caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD), electrical fast transients (EFT) and lightning induced surges.
Main Features
- High surge capability: SM712 has a peak pulse power handling capability of 400 watts (tp=8/20μs), and can safely dissipate 17A of 8/20μs waveform surge current at a very low clamping voltage (compliant with IEC 61000-4-5 standard).
- ESD protection: According to IEC 61000-4-2 standard, SM712 can withstand ±25kV contact discharge and air discharge, providing excellent ESD protection.
- Fast response: Fast reaction speed (nanosecond level), can quickly suppress transient voltage and protect sensitive electronic components.
- Packaging and compatibility: Adopt a small SOT-23 package to save circuit board space and comply with RoHS and Reach environmental standards.
